Peoples Bank Announces Promotion of Marney Walker to Vice President

Peoples Bank President and CEO Dennis Ammann is pleased to announce the promotion of Marney Walker to Vice President. Marney has been with Peoples Bank for more than seven years, serving as a Loan Officer at the Jackson Avenue office.
In his new role as Vice President, Marney will continue to support the bank’s lending efforts and customer relationships while contributing to the overall growth and strategic direction of the organization.
“Marney’s leadership, professionalism, and commitment to serving our customers make him a natural fit for this role,” said CEO Dennis Ammann. “He consistently demonstrates a strong understanding of community banking and is deeply connected to the people and businesses we serve. We are proud to recognize his impact with this well-earned promotion.”
Marney holds a Bachelor of Arts from The University of Southern Mississippi, a master’s degree from Belhaven University, and a Specialist degree from Mississippi College. He is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking at the University of Mississippi and has completed his first year of the Tennessee Commercial Lending School at Vanderbilt University.
In addition to his work at Peoples Bank, Marney is actively involved in his community. He serves on the Copiah Lincoln Foundation Board, is a member of the Mendenhall Community Club, and is the Chairman of Simpson County Ducks Unlimited.
Marney resides in Magee with his wife, DeShea. They have three children: Kade, Kolt, and Lucy.
