Peoples Bank is pleased to announce our 2011 Christmas Card Winners. A reception was held Wednesday, November 30th at the Magee branch to honor each winner. This has become a great tradition in our communities and a way to acknowledge and award talented young artists in Collins, Magee, Mendenhall, and Puckett. 
It took an independent community bank to earn the State of Mississippi’s first honor as a National Lender of the Year as named by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Mendenhall-based Peoples Bank has been selected by the SBA to receive their Small 7(a) Lender award. This national award is presented to lenders that have used SBA loan programs to help the maximum number of small business owners obtain needed financing to grow their businesses. 
MAGEE – The recognition Peoples Bank continues to receive for its dedication to small business lending continues with the selection of Connie Amason as a Small Lender Committee representative for the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL). Ms. Amason was among 15 other bankers from across the nation who will represent lenders in dealing with the U.S. Small Business Administration and Congressional interests.
